About the role
The Senior Billing Officer will be responsible to ensure the accurate and timely billing of Estia Health residents. In addition to the Billing Officer duties (refer to Billing Officer PD) they will be responsible for assisting the monthly and fortnightly billing runs, running the monthly & fortnightly billing audits, responsible for initial complaint handling across the billing team, reviewing and approving of weekly RAD refunds & providing key support to stakeholders throughout the business in relation to resolution of complex residential financial queries. The Senior Billing Officer will have varied responsibilities including;
- Ensure billing processes and procedures meet compliance and reporting obligations.
- Responsible to distribute all incoming emails through the ticketing system & manage the AR Phone queue to identify ways to improve customer service.
- Managing complex resident queries and delivering satisfactory outcomes for all parties.
- First level of complaint handling.
- Assisting with the proactive management of the billing process, to ensure appropriate reviews are taken to ensure high billing accuracy.
- Assist Billing Manager with the end Month end process, month end reporting and reconciliations.
- Backup Approval for weekly RAD refunds
- Exceptional working knowledge of the Aged Care Act (1997) and legislation as it relates to fees and billing.
- Epicor systems testing subject matter expert.
- Complex resident billing reconciliations.
- Work alongside Billing Manager to identify billing system improvements.
- Assisting with data migration for new acquisitions
- Strong relationships with key stakeholders including Finance, Customer Relations and Legal teams.
- Billing Officer duties (refer to billing officer PD)
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as directed by the Billing Manager.
The traits that will help you succeed
- 5 + Years working in aged care AR billing role or similar Healthcare role.
- Demonstrated Advance Epicor/ERP experience.
- Exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Experience dealing with complex resident reconciliations and ability to explain to residents and or their representatives.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- The analytical component will involve end to end analysis of the Billing function to proactively take advantage of opportunities and/or mitigate any potential risk.
- Works well collaboratively and able to be proactive to assist team members.
- Detail-Oriented, able to pay attention to detail and to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Organised/planning but flexible to deal with ad-hoc requests/requirements for a growing business.
